Lawn Care Treatments, Repairs and Maintenance Services in Solihull
Welcome to GreenThumb Solihull
GreenThumb in Solihull is run by husband and wife Nathan and Alex. Having been brought up in the family that introduced lawn treatment to UK homeowners over a quarter of century ago, Alex has been living and breathing lawn care from a very early age. With this wealth of experience, she opened GreenThumb in Solihull back in 2005 and now with the professional help of 4 other lawn operatives, she and Nathan have the pleasure of caring for more than 2,000 lawns in Solihull, Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Wythall, Hollywood, Lapworth, Tanworth-in-Arden and surrounding areas.
Says Alex “In recent years the UK has experienced some extremes of weather; from all-time highs in temperature and drought conditions to record-breaking levels of rainfall. This means that caring for lawns can be a challenge – but this is a challenge that Nathan and I relish and we get great satisfaction from seeing the improvements in our customer’s lawns and the joy this brings them."
Over the years we have come across all of the problems that nature can throw at a lawn – from grass-eating pests like Leatherjackets and Chafer Grubs, to fungal infections and moss infestation. Our experience means that we can readily identify any such problems in a lawn and provide a solution to help it recover.
At GreenThumb Solihull we have a small, close-knit team and we aim to offer a friendly and professional service that will give our customers lawns that they can be proud of.
For our treatments we use our bespoke professional lawn care products – not available at your local garden centre – and these are applied accurately using professional equipment. We also have at our disposal some of the latest technology in lawn care such as our drought-busting Oasis Water Conserver Programme and SlowMow Growth Regulator treatments. All of this means we can get great results from even the most humble of lawns and all for a cost that is lower than 'doing it yourself'. We also offer a Direct Debit payment plan, to make things as easy as possible for our customers.
So, if you would like help from the lawn care professionals, why not give us a call? We will be more than happy to visit and provide a free, no-obligation lawn inspection so that we can recommend the best programme of treatments to get your lawn looking tip-top! You can also follow us on Facebook.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I start using GreenThumb?
You can adopt our services at any time of the year. There is never a ‘bad time’ to start improving your lawn.
Do I have to be at home when you come and treat my lawn?
The majority of our customers are not at home when we call. Since all our vehicles and Lawn Operatives are self-sufficient, we can carry out your treatments as long as we have access to the lawns.
If you would prefer to be in when we are treating your lawn, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I have children and /or pets. What should I be aware of?
We recommend that you keep off the lawn until any liquid part of the treatment has dried (approx. 2 hours). This stops it being walked off. And this is especially true of our NutraGreen Autumn Long Treatment, we recommend that you keep off the lawn for more than 2 hours then as it could stain a carpet or wooden floor, if it were walked into the home.
Grazing pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs should be kept off the lawn for a minimum of two weeks or three cuts, whichever occurs latest, to avoid ingestion of Ragwort, in particular, which becomes poisonous to them as it dies back.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, we want our customers to continue with GreenThumb based on our merits in creating a healthier, greener lawn for them - not because they are stuck in a contract. Of course, with our treatment programmes, you will need to sign a Direct Debit Mandate with the relevant T&C's which relate to this payment option.
